Welcome to my blog!
Although I'm starting this for many reasons, I want to let you know what has led me to my main reason for starting it.
I'm a first-year college student with a major in Asian Studies and a minor in Japanese.
Although I plan to be many things, I'm working on doing what it takes to begin my graduate school in Japan.
In my many years of studying Japanese on my own, from various books to online courses, I've found from a little to only a handful of the information on both accounts to be helpful.
Whether it be from a fault of my own or of the person giving the information, sometimes it just helps to take everything in smaller steps.
I'm writing this blog because
a] I want to improve my own Japanese
b] I enjoy learning and helping others learn Japanese and
c] It's fun.
The main layout and structure:
1. To start from the beginning with the writing systems (hiragana and katakana).
2. While learning these, there are plenty of vocabulary to go along with assisting your reading/writing skills.
3. Basic Japanese phrases and sentences will be taught.
4. Continue to move slowly to more advanced materials as I learn them in class.
All of this is what I'm currently learning in my Japanese class, and I find it to be an incredibly tolerable and helpful system.
I hope that you too can learn from it, and remember to work at your own pace and take it step by step.
There's no rush - let's learn together.
じゃあ、はじめましょう!
Jaa, hajimemashou!
[Well, let's begin!]
